The four-story wood-framed building provides 100 apartment units for UC Berkeley student housing. Housing is supported on a concrete podium containing a 275 seat theater, retail space, and parking. Structural shear walls are located in the interior to maximize exterior wall glazing. Winner of 2005 AIA East Bay Design Award.
