Built into the hillside on land formerly owned by Caltrans, this new building provides 62 units of affordable housing in a 92,300 square foot, four-story building.
The structure is three stories of Type V-A wood framed construction over one level of Type I-A reinforced concrete. Situated on a sloping site in Albany, California, adjacent to I-80, it is L-shaped to frame the courtyard and protect it from the noise of traffic.
