IDA designed this new three-story, 57,000 square foot, steel framed STEM Building named the Diane Bryant STEM Innovation Center.
The seismic system is buckling restrained braced frames. Second and third floors step out at each story, creating covered spaces below the cantilevers. IDA also designed slip joint construction at the exterior of the building so that no headers were needed and outside light was maximized. This new building is a welcoming feature of Los Rios CCD.
