Private residence in Napa Valley utilizing PISE building technique.
The wings of the house are constructed of 18” thick PISE walls with wood-framed roofs. The two wings are connected with a steel and glass Family Room. PISE (pronounced “pee-zay”) is a building technique using one-sided formwork and high pressure air delivery of the earth, cement, and water mix to build thick, earthen walls.
