Designed to represent the brilliantly colored quetzal bird and the vibrant community there in San Jose, this new 106,000 sf, six-story affordable family housing in San Jose contains 71 apartments.
Twenty of the units are set aside for chronically homeless people. The building includes puzzle lifts to maximize parking, a community garden on the sixth floor, on-site mental health services, and 12,000 sf of ground-floor space for nonprofit organizations.
