Occupied rehabilitation of five, Type I concrete buildings in Berkeley and Oakland ranging from 5 to 11 stories.

Work consisted of a Probable Maximum Loss (PML) analysis and seismic strengthening to meet Client and Lender criteria.

Strengthening of concrete columns and shear walls accomplished with carbon fiber to minimize disruption to tenants and so as to not interfere with critical clearances at corridors and stairs. IDA also assisted with façade improvements and Photovolatic (PV) and solar hot water equipment bracing.
