2018 Award of Merit from the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC)
IDA designed this new 8-story building with underground parking, almost 9,000 square feet of retail area on the ground floor and 100 residential units above, on a confined urban site at the corner of University Avenue and Milvia Street. IDA designed long span metal decking to span to the metal stud walls and eliminate joists – saving the project $1M and reducing the floor thickness.
