Seismic retrofit and rehabilitation of a 12-story, 156-unit senior housing site in Campbell
The building is a 1979 precast concrete structure with precast plank floors and precast concrete walls. IDA began with ASCE 41-17 Tier 1 and Tier 2 seismic studies on the property and developed a seismic retrofit plan with the owner. The seismic work includes adding shotcrete concrete shear walls and Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) and reinforcing connections between elements. The project was phased to be allow construction to proceed with the building occupied.
